SV Northern Maple is a quality young gelding with an exceptional brain, lovely temperament, and the talent to develop into a very competitive partner. True to his name, he is as sweet as maple syrup and a genuine pleasure to have in the barn. He is uncomplicated, kind, and consistent, making him suitable for a junior or adult amateur, while still having the scope, movement, and rideability for someone with bigger goals.

On the flat, Maple is soft, balanced, and enjoyable to ride. He is already learning and correctly performing shoulder-in and is developing his medium trot, showing a lovely, powerful extension. He has a good natural step and quality gaits that will continue to improve as he gains strength and mileage, making him a very attractive prospect for eventing.

 

Over fences, Maple has an excellent jump with good technique, carefulness, and scope. He is naturally brave and honest to the jumps and has enough step, athleticism, and power to also be developed as a jumper.

 

He has clean, straight legs, excellent feet, no vices, and no quirks. He is happy living in or out, is easy to hack, trailers well, and is straightforward in all aspects of daily handling. He can have time off and comes back into work the same horse.

 

We think very highly of this horse and would happily keep him in our program. A great home is a priority.
